Discover the satisfying process of wax carving as you shape and refine your own ring design.
No previous jewellery-making experience is needed. I will guide you through each stage in this small-group workshop, limited to six places.
By the end of the course, you will have created a wax model ready to be cast in your chosen metal. Once cast, I can arrange for your piece to be hallmarked at the London Assay Office, then hand-finish and polish it in my studio.
The price includes tuition, wax and use of specialist carving tools. The option to cast in a metal of your choice, finishing and hallmarking are charged separately. The final cost will depend on the metal selected and the weight of your design. I will provide a quote once your wax model is complete and before it is sent for casting. As a guide, casting a simple ring in sterling silver including hallmarking, hand-finishing and polishing, may cost around £90.
Your finished ring will be ready for collection approximately three to four weeks after the workshop.
