At Salt Stone Studio, every piece of jewellery is thoughtfully designed and carefully handcrafted. These terms are here to provide clarity about how orders are placed, made and supplied. If you have any questions at any stage, please get in touch.

Products

As each piece is individually handcrafted, slight variations in finish, texture and natural gemstones are part of the character of handmade jewellery and should not be considered faults.

Where natural gemstones are used, every stone is unique. Colour, pattern and inclusions will vary, making each piece one of a kind.

Bespoke commissions

Bespoke jewellery is created specifically for you and is developed through consultation and design.

A deposit is required before work begins. Once a design has been approved and making has started, significant changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges.

The remaining balance is payable before your jewellery is dispatched or collected.

Because bespoke pieces are made to your individual requirements, they cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty.

Sizing and fit

Where a customer supplies or confirms a ring size, bangle size, bracelet length, or hand or wrist measurement, they are responsible for ensuring that the measurement is accurate. Professional sizing is strongly recommended, particularly for bespoke, gem-set or wide-band rings.

Once a size has been confirmed and making has begun, any subsequent alteration requested by the customer will be subject to the design allowing it and may incur an additional charge. Some designs cannot be safely resized.

Any applicable alteration charge will be discussed before the work is carried out. This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty, incorrectly described or has not been made to the agreed specifications.

Pricing

All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (£).

Prices include UK VAT where applicable.

Although every effort is made to ensure prices are accurate, they may occasionally need to change. The price confirmed at the time of ordering will always be honoured.

Hallmarking

All jewellery sold by Salt Stone Studio complies with UK hallmarking legislation where required. Pieces that fall below the legal hallmarking weight limits may not carry a hallmark but are guaranteed to be made from the precious metal stated.

Payment

Payment can be made using the methods offered at checkout. Alternatively, please email contact@saltstonestudio.com if you prefer to pay by bank transfer.

For bespoke commissions, work will not begin until the agreed deposit has been received.

Delivery

Delivery times vary depending on whether an item is ready to ship, requires sizing adjustment or is being made to order.

Estimated times will be provided when you place your order. While every effort is made to meet these estimates, occasional delays can occur, particularly during busy periods or where specialist materials are being sourced. If any delay is anticipated, this will be communicated when your order is being processed.

Intellectual property

All jewellery designs, photographs, written content and artwork on this website remain the intellectual property of Salt Stone Studio (Cornwall) Ltd and may not be copied, reproduced or used in any way whatsoever without prior written permission.

Limitation of liability

Salt Stone Studio cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, failure to follow the care guidance provided, or repairs carried out by another jeweller.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Privacy

Any personal information provided when placing an order will only be used to process your purchase and provide customer service. Your information will never be sold or shared with third parties except where necessary to process your order or where required by law.
